Both of these doctors have shown care and compassion above and beyond in taking care of my cats. We moved to Corvallis in 2009 and 3 months later my four cats were seen for annual exams. Less than 2 months later Honey, who was the mother of the others developed tumors and had surgery which showed untreatable cancer. Very soon after that, Cinnamon had a crisis which required exploratory surgery and very close care. Both of these doctors were available to answer my questions and help with aftercare. Cinnamon had a feeding tube in his neck for a period of time. It was a new adventure and challenge for us and Dr. Amsberry made himself available for help during the weekend if I needed it. (Fortunately, I did not.) Cinnamon recovered and is a healthy boy now. Dr. Remcho was extremely helpful during Honeys decline, and when the time came to put her to sleep, she was just as compassionate and caring. Both of these doctors make followup phone calls after problems are addressed to make sure the cats are doing well. In every trip to West Hills Animal Hospital, I feel as though we are family members and treated with that kind of attention, care and respect. They are both my heroes.

They've been my vet for almost 20 years now. They treated all my pets so well. They're practical thinkers not just "give him this, give him that". They always, always return my calls. They discuss the medical conditions of my pets no matter how long it takes. I don't care where I live---they'll always be my VETS for life!

Dr. Tang is a brilliant diagnostician; but more than that, he is a true physician at heart. Our dog swallowed a bee, she was having trouble breathing, panting heavily. Dr. Tang told us to come even though his clinic was closing. He waited for us (dismissing his staff) and gave her an injection to offset her symptoms. When we asked the charge after she had calmed down, he basically didn't want anything; finally he said ,"Okay...$20" I tried to thank him on later occasions too. He simply says.." I am only doing a service." A beautiful way of trying to diminish his own ability..... very great doctor.

I first met my vet through a referral from a coworker. My 6monthold puppy broke her foot while rough housing with the other dogs. I took her to the emergency vet and they told me she may need pins and 5 grand in surgery. I spoke to a coworker who recommended Dr. White and I was so thankful.They charged me a small fee for a visit and xrays. Dr. White allayed my worries and said her foot was set well and will heal like nothing ever happened to it. Today she could be running agility courses. He even waived the follow up charges and only charged us if dressing was changed or xrays taken. That was four years ago. Since then I have had plenty of emergency visits with my cats and dogs and every time I am relieved and greatful. Just recently I had to take my 10 yr old Dachshund in for his back. My last Dachshund was put down for his back injury so i was terrified. Through laser treatment and a two week stay Dr. Gary White returned to me a puppy. My Dachshund was a completely different dog and I cried when I picked him up. What is usually a huge debt and a death sentence turned out to be an affordable life saving treatment. I can't thank him enough for returning my baby to me.He has saved the lives of three of my animals and I recommend him to everyone.

Most recently, my 9 month old Great Dane puppy was bitten by a very nasty spider. His foot swelled and he was in a lot of pain. Dr. Daily and her staff at Animal Wellness Center made him an immediate appointment. They were very kind and gentle with him. The vet and their staff called us multiple times over the following week to check on him and make sure that he was healing well. When his followup appointment came, my family was a little short on money. Dr. Dailys office allowed me to write a check postdated for when the money would be available. To me, this proved once again to me that they cared much more about my pet than they do about the money. This instance was one more in a long list of loving and caring acts that I have witnessed from the wonderful staff at Animal Wellness Center. They saved my dog when many other vets would have turned him away. I will forever be in their debt.
